About Me
Hi, I’m Tiffani Mooney, CD/PCD(DONA)
I am a DONA-certified birth and postpartum doula, serving families in the greater Sacramento, CA area. As a mother of five, who birthed four and adopted one, I am passionate about family and parenthood. My wish for every family is that they feel supported in having a calm, confident, fearless postpartum experience.
When I was birthing my children, I experienced nearly every single medical intervention, not fully understanding that I had options. Today I am more fully aware of the scope of what birth can look like, and I’m in a position to offer that knowledge and support to others. Working in labor and delivery for a few years gave me an understanding of the language within the medical birthing community, and being a doula has given me the ability to help birthing families navigate their choices.
My intention is to empower you to make decisions during birth and postpartum recovery that work best for you. I am here to help you understand what your choices are, and how each decision can affect your experience. Often families don’t know all the options available to them. I am here to help you navigate each step along the way to fulfill your personal preferences.
Advanced Doula Mentorship Program
As a way to support other doulas, I am also part of the Advanced Doula Mentorship team created by Kindred Birth Collective. This program is designed to support new doulas on their journey to becoming confident, skilled, and successful birth professionals. Our team of mentors wants every doula who works with us to have a sustainable practice that allows them to love what they do and do it well for a long time. We equip doulas with practical tools and actionable steps they can take to offer effective, informed, and compassionate care to parents in their communities.
